As Weapons Department Head on a US Navy Destroyer, Bob began his Nuclear Weapons training at an early stage. He was assigned to COMNAVSURFPAC (which required additional security clearances), Commanded the first guided missile destroyer transition (USS Wadsworth) to the USNR, was Commanding Officer of NRNAVWEPSTA, Seal Beach, completed the Defense Economics Course at the Naval War College and was assigned to OPNAV for a Defense Budget Analysis.
While at Rockwell International, Bob actively reviewed about 100 acquisition opportunities and led the sale of Rockwell's Aerospace and Defense Business to Boeing in an infrequently used Morris Trust transaction.
